Is the PTA only for moms?
A strong PTA needs the support of moms, dads, guardians, foster parents, grandparents, family members, teachers, school staff, and community members. If you want to be involved we welcome you to be a part of the PTA.

Joining the PTA means I have to volunteer?
The PTA appreciates everyone’s membership, whether or not a member is able to volunteer. There are are many ways you can contribute (more about that later in a couple of pages!).

Does PTA membership expire?
Yes, each new school year begins a new PTA membership year. Your PTA membership will be good for the entire school year.

Will I have to start volunteering because I attended a PTA meeting?
No, we welcome all parents to attend a meeting. It is a good way for parents to keep up with what’s going on and to meet other parents. There is no pressure or judgement.

Doesn’t the PTA has all the help they need?
In short, no. We’re a small group hoping to make a big impact. Any time you can give is a game changer for Adelaide.

Why should I join the PTA?
Your fellow PTA members are family and community members who want to support the kids and the school and shows your child that you are interested and invested in their educational experience.

What is my membership fee getting me?
Your membership fee is used to help support a variety of programs and events designed to introduce students to new experiences in a variety of areas, expanding their horizons. As a bonus, there a bunch of discounts you can get from the Washington PTA!
